My passion for glass blowing was ignited when I began my post-secondary education in 2013 at Sheridan College.
The artistry and complexity of the craft immediately captured my attention.

Four years later In 2018, I continued my studies by enrolling at Haliburton School of Art and Design in Northern Ontario.

Glass Exhibition ARTIST STATEMENT -2018

Opportunity is what I see in glass – there’s ducks and adding on and subtracting it. I created my sculptural glass piece rotation the heart of cancer quotation using this approach a block of garden foam sculpt it away formed the heart Organ lost pedals created the soft texture hold glass strings needled into the lower half creating a sharp exterior.
I can always do more, with infinite ways to layer on glass, then perhaps to sculpt away or create new layers, play with texture, and re-create the experience and appearance of them. I am invigorated buy the process of creating one of a kind works of art, to blowing a collection of multiple coloured coated cups.
Having physical tangibility of your progress every day. To see that white had taken you for hours plus assistance before to creating multiples in in hour and a half. Working in glass means acquiring and maintaining a variety of skill sets accompanying technique, enduring the fiery but calm atmosphere in the hot shop.
Keeping focus ensuring the steps taken our premium determined to achieve what I want to create. As well as consistently recalculating my movements throughout the process of making. to put my whole being into a vessel that holds as much of my current knowledge as I can get encapsulate.
The possibilities are endless this gives me an openness to the dedication in finding new techniques and methods in various materials. Glass is A most unforgiving and formidable friend at times, but in all, humbles you to the fact that not everything you create is precious but all could be reimagined and executed in better ways than you thought yourself capable of.
